Pointing and repointing across Derbyshire & the Peak District
The High Peak is Pennine gritstone in lime — Glossop, Hadfield, New Mills, Whaley Bridge, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Hayfield — and it takes the worst of the weather off Kinder and Bleaklow. The work is cement removal and lime repointing, hand-raked and brushed back, and Glossop, New Mills and Buxton have their own pages. Buxton and the White Peak are limestone, which is softer, hates cement and wants a lime with a compatible aggregate.
Beyond thirty miles we cover the Hope Valley — Hathersage, Bamford, Castleton — Bakewell, Matlock and the Derwent valley, and Chesterfield and Dronfield on the eastern edge, where the stone gives way to brick. Nearly all of the Peak is National Park and conservation area, and the joint profile is expected to match the original. Whole-elevation jobs, booked as a block; no travel charge within 15 miles of Rochdale, and beyond that it's priced into the fixed quote.
- Scott quotes every job in person — fixed written price within 48 hours.
- 10-year written workmanship guarantee on all work in Derbyshire & the Peak District.
- £5m public liability, certificate shown with the quote.

Lime pointing
The right mortar for pre-1920 homes. Lime breathes and moves with the wall — cement on old brick blows the faces off.
