Pointing and repointing across Lancashire
Lancashire starts a mile north of our yard. Rossendale — Bacup, Rawtenstall, Haslingden — is stone-terrace country in lime, and it is where we do a lot of our week-in, week-out work. Blackburn, Accrington and Hyndburn are the home of the Accrington brick, hard and red and needing a compatible mix; Burnley and Pendle mix stone terraces with brick; the Ribble Valley is limestone and gritstone villages that are almost all conservation area; Chorley, Leyland and Preston are Victorian brick with stone in the villages.
Further out we cover the Fylde — Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood, Poulton, Kirkham — which is brick, a lot of it inter-war, on the wettest, windiest coast in the county, and Lancaster and Morecambe, which are Georgian and Victorian in local sandstone and gritstone. There is no travel charge within 15 miles of Rochdale; beyond that, on the bigger jobs the Fylde and Lancaster tend to be, the travel is priced into the fixed quote and you'll see it as one line.
- Scott quotes every job in person — fixed written price within 48 hours.
- 10-year written workmanship guarantee on all work in Lancashire.
- £5m public liability, certificate shown with the quote.
Dots are the Lancashire towns with their own page. Dashed circle is our 50-mile limit from Rochdale.

Services
What we do across Lancashire

Failed or cracked joints raked out to depth and repointed in a colour-matched sand and cement mix. Whole elevations or single walls.

Lime pointing
The right mortar for pre-1920 homes. Lime breathes and moves with the wall — cement on old brick blows the faces off.

Chimney repointing
Stacks repointed, flaunching renewed and lead checked — from a tower with edge protection, not off a ladder.

Stone pointing
Coursed and random stone, cottages and garden walls, pointed in lime or cement to suit the building and its age.

Patio & paving pointing
Weeded-out flag joints dug out and re-pointed in a jointing compound or mortar that survives wet winters.
