Warrington is brick — Victorian terraces around Latchford, Orford, Howley and Bewsey, bigger Edwardian houses in Stockton Heath and Grappenhall, inter-war and post-war semis everywhere else — and the villages around it, Lymm, Thelwall and Appleton, have older Cheshire brick cottages in lime.
